Sheri Buretta has served as Chugach’s Chairman of the Board since 1998, guiding the corporation’s long-term vision for intergenerational prosperity. In this role, Sheri partners with the executive team to advance strategic initiatives that balance financial performance with cultural stewardship. Under her leadership, Chugach has consistently ranked among Alaska’s most profitable businesses and earned numerous industry awards. Sheri also chairs Chugach’s nonprofit entities and has served as Interim CEO during leadership transitions. A respected voice in Alaska Native advocacy, she has long served on the Board of the Alaska Federation of Natives and continues to serve on several other organizations and has previously held leadership positions with the Native American Contractors Association, the ANCSA Regional Association, and as Chair of the University of Alaska Board of Regents, along with numerous community organizations. Sheri has been recognized with honors including induction into the Alaska Business Hall of Fame and the Anchorage Athena Society, Athena Leadership Award, and YWCA Women of Achievement Award. Her leadership reflects a steadfast commitment to Alaska Native self-determination, shareholder value, and cultural heritage.

Matt McDaniel has served on Chugach’s Board of Directors since 2005 and currently holds the position of Vice Chairman. With an MBA and extensive experience in corporate strategy, Matt brings a strong business acumen to his role in shaping Chugach’s governance and growth trajectory. He is the owner and principal consultant for Alaska Corporate Consulting and serves as CEO of Pedro Bay Corporation, where he advises on operational efficiency and strategic planning. Matt’s leadership emphasizes sustainable growth and shareholder prosperity, leveraging his expertise in finance and organizational development. His contributions to Chugach’s Board include oversight of key initiatives that strengthen corporate performance and community engagement. A lifelong Alaskan with roots in Cordova, Matt combines professional insight with a deep understanding of Alaska Native values, ensuring decisions align with both economic and cultural priorities.

Violet Yeaton has served on Chugach’s Board of Directors since 2005, and currently holds the position of Treasurer. As Treasurer, Violet provides financial oversight and governance as Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee. With a strong background in tribal and environmental initiatives, Violet also serves as a board director for the Alaska Community Action on Toxins and previously worked as a Tribal Technical Assistance Specialist for Miami Environmental and Energy Solutions. Her expertise in compliance and financial stewardship ensures Chugach maintains rigorous standards of accountability and transparency. Violet’s leadership supports the corporation’s commitment to sustainable growth and responsible governance. Originally from the Village of Port Graham, Violet brings a shareholder perspective that prioritizes cultural integrity alongside financial performance. Her role on the Board reflects a dedication to advancing Chugach’s mission and protecting shareholder interests for future generations.

Julie Kitka has served on Chugach’s Board of Directors since 2005 and currently holds the position of Secretary., Julie brings decades of leadership experience in Alaska Native advocacy and federal policy. As the former President of the Alaska Federation of Natives for 33 years, Julie has been a prominent voice in advancing Native rights and economic development. She currently serves as Federal Co-Chair for the Denali Commission. Julie’s strategic insight strengthens Chugach’s governance, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and shareholder priorities. Her family roots in the historic village of Nuchek, and long tenure on the Board, dating back to a period of service in the 1980s, underscores her long-standing commitment to Chugach’s mission and success. Julie’s leadership combines policy expertise with cultural stewardship, reinforcing Chugach’s role as a trusted advocate for Alaska Native communities.

Anna Hoover joined Chugach’s Board of Directors in 2022, bringing a dynamic background in arts, media, and education. A commercial fisherman, artist, and filmmaker, Anna serves as faculty at the Institute of American Indian Arts and has contributed to national media as a writer for the animated children’s television series Molly of Denali. She is the founder and Board President of First Light Alaska and serves on the board of Becharof Corporation. Anna’s creative and entrepreneurial experience adds a unique perspective to Chugach’s governance, fostering innovation and cultural expression. Her leadership supports initiatives that strengthen shareholder engagement and promote Alaska Native heritage. Anna maintains strong ties to her family’s roots in Cordova and Bristol Bay.

As an Instructional Coordinator for the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District, Tomas has a strong background in curriculum design and leadership. He holds a Master of Education and applies his knowledge to support Chugach’s initiatives in shareholder training and development. Tomas’s contributions to the Board reflect a commitment to empowering future generations through education and opportunity. Jonathan Dalrymple serves as CEO of Chugach Alaska Corporation, bringing more than 25 years of leadership experience in aerospace, defense, and intelligence contracting. He oversees Chugach’s diverse business enterprise, including operating companies and investments, and leads a workforce of 4,500 employees. Jonathan collaborates closely with the Board of Directors to drive strategy, operational excellence, and long-term shareholder value. Previously, as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at VSE Corporation, he secured the largest government services contract in the company’s history and positioned the organization for a strategic sale. His career includes senior roles at Raytheon, L3 Aerospace Systems, and Textron, as well as service as a U.S. Navy nuclear machinist during Operation Desert Storm. Jonathan holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia and an MBA from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan. His leadership reflects a commitment to growth, innovation, and cultural stewardship.

Katherine Carlton serves as President of Chugach Alaska Corporation’s Community Value Centers, overseeing regional development, cultural stewardship, and management of ANCSA lands. A Chugach shareholder originally from Cordova, Katherine has held leadership roles across federal and commercial operations since joining the corporation in 2005. Her experience includes serving as Vice President of Operations for Chugach Commercial Holdings and President & General Manager of Education Services for Chugach Government Solutions. Katherine holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a graduate certificate in Alaska Native Executive Leadership, and completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. She also serves on boards including the ANCSA Regional Association, Prince William Sound Economic Development District, and Native Forward Scholars Fund. Katherine’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to shareholder prosperity and cultural preservation.

Angela Astle is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Chugach Alaska Corporation, where she oversees Chugach’s financial operations, including accounting, treasury, corporate tax, financial planning, and information technology departments. She directs capital allocation related to new investments, leading financial due diligence for new acquisitions and is a key participant related to deal structure. With over 32 years of experience—27 of them at Chugach—Angela has been instrumental in the corporation’s financial growth. A trusted advisor to the Board and executive team, she served as Interim CEO in 2023 and currently serves on the Investment Committee and 401(k) committees and as the President of Chugach Investment Holdings. Angela began her career at Deloitte & Touche and is a Certified Public Accountant in Alaska. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Montana and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Her leadership ensures fiscal integrity and positions Chugach for sustainable growth. Angela is also deeply committed to community service, championing initiatives such as the Alaska Run for Women and the American Heart Association.

With 25 years of leadership experience in maritime and oilfield services, Peter has spent a decade advancing Chugach’s commercial operations, previously serving as President of Chugach Commercial Holdings and Chugach Alaska Services. His career includes senior roles at UIC Arctic Response Services and Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, where he led large-scale operations and safety programs. A lifelong Alaskan and Chugach shareholder, Peter combines deep industry expertise with a commitment to community development. He serves on the boards of the Prince William Sound Science Center and Providence Foundation. Peter’s operational leadership drives efficiency, innovation, and shareholder value while honoring Chugach’s cultural heritage.

She leads a diverse portfolio of operating companies across Alaska, Hawaii, and the continental United States, and as a key member of Chugach Alaska Corporation’s executive leadership team, she advances strategic objectives, drives growth, operational excellence, and shareholder value throughout the energy, industrial, and environmental services sectors. Under her leadership, Chugach Commercial Holdings has executed multiple strategic acquisitions in alignment with corporation’s comprehensive five-year strategy. Gwen ensures robust governance and performance across a complex, multi-company portfolio, spearheading strategic planning, risk, and performance management, and providing centralized finance, legal, human resources, and business development support. Guided by principles of integrity, meaningful value creation, empowerment, and community-building, she exemplifies strong, grounded leadership. A lifelong Alaskan, Gwen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

With more than 20 years of experience in federal contracting and corporate governance, Virginia has held senior legal roles at Amentum and Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation, guiding organizations through mergers, international expansion, and regulatory compliance. She played a key role in integrating DynCorp International into Amentum’s $6 billion enterprise as Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer. Virginia holds a J.D. from Washington and Lee University and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional. Recognized as a Power Woman of GovCon, she brings strategic insight and operational rigor to Chugach’s leadership team.

His career includes senior leadership positions at Cherokee Federal, Leidos, and SAIC, where he directed large-scale integrations, mergers, and enterprise-wide restructuring initiatives for organizations with revenues exceeding $10 billion. Chris has a proven track record of driving growth in complex, regulated environments, leveraging expertise in strategic planning, forecasting, and compliance. He holds an Executive MBA from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Francis University, complemented by executive leadership training at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. With more than 40 years of experience, John has led efforts to reclaim historical sites and artifacts and founded Nuuciq Spirit Camp, now Alaska’s largest cultural camp. His work spans documentation, education, and advocacy, including service on the Smithsonian’s NAGPRA National Review Committee and leadership roles with the Alaska Native Heritage Center. John has published extensively on the language and history of Alaska Native cultures and continues to advance cultural preservation through partnerships with federal agencies and tribal organizations. His lifelong commitment ensures that Chugach traditions endure for future generations.

With over two decades of service to Chugach, Millie has championed initiatives such as the Training Without Walls mentorship program and shareholder internships, fostering the next generation of Alaska Native leaders. She collaborates with educational institutions and industry partners to expand opportunities for shareholders. Millie serves on multiple boards, including Chugach Tribal Services and Project Grad Kenai, and is a former Eyak Corporation Board member. An original Chugach shareholder, Millie’s leadership is rooted in cultural pride and a vision for intergenerational success.

Her responsibilities include overseeing corporate accounting systems, safeguarding assets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Melissa’s leadership reflects a commitment to operational excellence and transparency, key pillars for sustaining investor confidence. Beyond her professional role, Melissa is an active community leader, having served as an Adjunct Accounting Professor at University of Alaska Anchorage for the past four years and prior to that on the Blood Bank of Alaska’s Board of Directors for seven years. He has extensive experience navigating the legal landscape of Alaska Native Corporations, with expertise in Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) issues, corporate governance, land management, mergers and acquisitions, and government and commercial contracting. His background also includes a strong focus on government affairs, regulatory compliance, and employment and labor law.

Jack Blackwell is Vice President of Lands for Chugach Alaska Corporation, responsible for managing and protecting the corporation’s extensive land holdings under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). Since joining Chugach in 2023, Jack has leveraged more than three decades of experience in natural resource management to advance land stewardship and development strategies that align with shareholder priorities. Prior to Chugach, Jack served as Superintendent for the Kenai Peninsula and Prince William Sound Region within the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, where he oversaw state park operations and conservation programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and serves on the board for the Kenai Peninsula Economic Development District and Resource Development Council of Alaska. Jack’s leadership ensures responsible land management that balances economic opportunity with cultural and environmental preservation, reinforcing Chugach’s commitment to intergenerational prosperity.

Randi Jo Gause serves as Vice President, Marketing & Communications for Chugach Alaska Corporation, leading enterprise marketing, brand strategy, and corporate communications. She partners with executive leadership to advance strategic messaging, executive visibility, and stakeholder engagement, strengthening connections with shareholders, employees, customers, community partners, and policymakers. With more than a decade of experience in integrated communications and brand stewardship, Randi is known for purpose-driven storytelling that aligns business growth with Chugach’s mission and long-term commitments. She holds a B.A. in Public Relations and an MBA in International Business, and was recognized by the Alaska Journal of Commerce as a Top 40 Under 40 honoree. Randi is also dedicated to community service, including volunteering as a mentor to women entrepreneurs through the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.
