Chugach Announces 2026 Annual Meeting & Election Results
Anchorage, AK — Chugach Alaska Corporation held its 53rd Annual Meeting of Shareholders on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage. Shareholders gathered in person and joined online to hear updates from Chugach leadership, celebrate shareholder achievements and participate in the annual election of directors.
Board of Directors Election Results
Shareholders reelected incumbent directors Violet Yeaton and Connie Hedrick and elected Gabriel Kompkoff, a former Chugach Board member and CEO, to the Chugach Board of Directors. The three directors will serve terms expiring at the 2029 Annual Meeting.

Chairman of the Board Sheri Buretta said, “Matthew McDaniel, has been a remarkable Board member for Chugach for the past 21 years. He started as a management intern, which gave him a strong understanding of the business side of the Corporation. Matt has always put shareholders first in his decisions as a Board member. He will be missed, but we know he will always remain connected to Chugach and will continue to inspire and influence the Board, shareholders, and the Corporation for generations to come.”

Detailed election results from the Inspector of Election, along with the complete list of shareholder proxy and Annual Meeting prize winners, are available on the MyChugach Shareholder Portal.
