Lindsy Townsend Earns Alaska Journal of Commerce’s 2026 Top Forty Under 40
We are proud to announce that Lindsy Townsend has been named one of the Alaska Journal of Commerce’s 2026 Top Forty Under 40, a well‑deserved recognition honoring young professionals who make a meaningful impact in Alaska through leadership, service, and dedication.
Since joining Chugach Alaska Corporation (Chugach) in 2016, Lindsy has been a steady force behind the scenes, providing exceptional executive support to the Chairman and Board of Directors while helping drive complex projects that support the success of Chugach. Her professionalism, foresight, and commitment to excellence have earned the trust of leaders and colleagues alike, which contributed to her recent promotion to Chugach’s Board Relations and Strategic Alignment Manager.
Chugach Chairman Sheri Buretta stated in her nomination letter, “Lindsy exemplifies the leadership, innovation, and service that define Alaska’s next generation of leaders. Her ability to navigate high‑level responsibilities with precision and care has made her an indispensable part of our leadership team.”
Lindsy’s impact extends well beyond her role at Chugach. She is deeply committed to mentoring others and strengthening her community through meaningful service and leadership. She has participated in the Covenant House Sleepout alongside her daughter, demonstrating her dedication to supporting vulnerable youth, and co-leads the Chugach Region Veterans’ Project, an initiative that honors and elevates the stories of Veterans in the Chugach region to ensure their service and sacrifice are recognized and remembered.
Lindsy is also a cofounder of Chugach Native Professionals, a network of young Chugach shareholders and descendants focused on fostering career growth and preparing the next generation of leaders and advocates for our community and corporation.
Executive Support Specialist Ailie Johnson, in her letter written on Lindsy’s behalf, noted the example Lindsy sets for others and that helped to earn the Top Forty Under 40 award. “One of the things people appreciate most about Lindsy is her ability to stay ahead of what others need, anticipating challenges and preparing for them long before anyone has to ask,” Ailie stated.
On many levels, the Top 40 award carried special meaning for Lindsy, who shared, “I’m definitely humbled to be recognized among so many truly inspiring Alaskans, and grateful to Chugach for valuing my work ethic and the heart I put into what I do.”
Please join us in congratulating Lindsy on this outstanding achievement. We are grateful for her dedication and the positive example she sets every day.
