Chugach Named to Alaska Business Top 49ers Top 10 for 28th Consecutive Year
Chugach Alaska Corporation has been named to the list 36 times since debuting at No. 36 in 1987

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Oct. 1, 2026) — Chugach Alaska Corporation (Chugach) ranks No. 9 on Alaska Business magazine’s 2026 Top 49ers list, recognizing the state’s largest Alaska-owned and operated businesses by gross revenue. This marks Chugach’s 28th consecutive year in the Top 10 and continues a history on the list dating back to 1987.
Since first appearing on the list with $21.4 million in gross revenue, Chugach has grown into a diversified corporation reporting $963.8 million in 2025 revenue. Chugach is continuing that trajectory in 2026, with the corporation on track to surpass $1 billion in annual revenue and five strategic acquisitions completed since 2024. Those acquisitions have expanded Chugach’s capabilities across Alaska’s industrial, energy and regional development sectors while strengthening its foundation for continued growth. Today, more than 5,000 employees support customers across Alaska, the Lower 48 and internationally.
“This ranking belongs to our employees,” said Chugach CEO Jonathan Dalrymple. “Every day, they solve complex problems, earn the trust of our customers, and strengthen Chugach through the quality of their work. Their dedication has built the momentum we see today and positioned Chugach for its next chapter of growth. I’m proud of what they have built together and deeply grateful for their continued commitment to our customers, shareholders, and corporation.”
Chugach was incorporated in 1972 under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and is owned by more than 3,000 Alaska Native shareholders with ties to the Chugach region. The corporation’s financial growth creates long-term value for shareholders through distributions, employment and workforce development, educational opportunities, cultural and social programs, land stewardship, and investment in the region.
“Growth matters most when it comes home to our people and our region,” said Chugach Board Chair Sheri Buretta. “Nearly three decades in the Top 10 represents opportunity for our shareholders and descendants, and investment in the communities where they live. On behalf of the Board, thank you to everyone who has helped build Chugach over five decades.”
Chugach congratulates all of the companies and corporations recognized among this year’s Top 49ers and celebrates their contributions to Alaska’s economy, communities and future.
