In this critical role, Keeler will provide counsel and leadership regarding all legal and risk matters, and will report to Chief Operating Officer (COO) Peter Andersen to support the corporation’s mission and growth initiatives. With an extensive background in corporate law and a deep commitment to the values and vision of Alaska Native Corporations (ANC), Keeler is an ideal fit for this position.

Keeler brings a wealth of experience to Chugach, having most recently served as Compliance Senior Legal Counsel for First National Bank Alaska where she oversaw the compliance department for the bank that holds a portfolio of nearly $6 billion in assets. Before that, she served as Vice President & General Counsel for North Wind Group, a Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) subsidiary and government contractor specializing in environmental remediation. Keeler originally joined CIRI as its Director of Risk Management, managing risk and insurance for CIRI’s interests ranging from travel and property management to its wind-farm operations. Prior to that, Keeler was Assistant General Counsel, Risk Management for Alutiiq LLC.
Keeler’s legal background also includes private practice trust and business legal representation and insurance defense litigation, and a judicial clerkship with the Federal District of Alaska Judge Honorable H. Russell Holland. She holds multiple degrees in political science-public service, education and law from the University of California, Davis, Western Washington University and University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law.
